Missions
To build passion and awareness for missions within the church family and promote participation in the Great Commission. The mission team brings opportunities to participate in missions through conferences, service, prayer and giving; we want to broaden the understanding of the Great Commission. We want to grow a heart for people in need by encouraging and supporting the mission interest. There are also opportunities to act as a liaison between current missionaries and our home church, as well as to recommend new missionaries/missions for First Baptist to support.

Programs
Youth Group is Sheridan FBC Elementary, Middle School, and High School youth ministry. Sister Rebekah and Sister Maleana are directing this ministry. Our youth group meets on Wednesday nights from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. Join us for a light snack and youth bible study.
Adult Bible Study gathers on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm. Come with your questions and dive into God’s Word with others who are eager to understand and apply Scripture.
Ladies Ministry meets on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month at 4pm. Enjoy a relaxing and joyful fellowship with our sisters’ in Christ. You’ll be able to kick back and connect with other women while having the freedom to laugh, cry, and nourish your soul. We’ll enjoy coffee, a treat (often something chocolate), and prayer. Childcare is not available at this time. Ladies Ministry is on a short pause at this time.
REACH Camp is our yearly family church camp. Hosted by the Eastern Baptist Association in Gaylord, Michigan, this family camp is a way for churches and families to disconnect with the outside world and reconnect with each other and God. Check out the Facebook page for more information.
Vacation Bible School is a weekday program held each summer to engage children in biblical teachings. The 2026 VBS theme is The Emerald Crossing: An Irish Adventure Through Psalm 23. In a world filled with worry and confusion, kids need to know there is a God who cares for them. At Emerald Crossing VBS, they’ll journey through Ireland’s lush landscapes, exploring the powerful words of Psalm 23. They’ll discover the life of the shepherd-king David and will learn how to cross from worry to peace, from fear to faith, and from uncertainty to a firm foundation in God’s Word through a relationship with the Good Shepherd.
